How to Recognize Paid Survey Scams
June 6th, 2008    Subscribe To Our FeedThere are so many paid survey scams out there that it is easier to find them than the genuine ones. There are many tell tale sings of scam sites and when you know what to look for you can spot them a mile away. Some of the most well designed sites on the net are scam sites so a beginner may find it hard to spot them at first.
Where to Start Looking…
The best way to start is to only use surveys sites that people you know have used successfully. Having said that I do not mean just to check if they really do have surveys for you to fill out and get paid for. I mean to see if the people that have used them actually got paid at the end of it all. There is no point in doing surveys if you are not sure if you are going to be paid.
Some of the things to look out for are the quality of the site it self. Most paid survey scams are made in a hurry and are designed for short term use. If the site does not feel right than trust your first instinct and if it tells you there is something wrong with that site then it is probly wrong. Do not let testimonials fool you - anyone can make up a couple of nice reviews. Unfortunately, you have no idea if the person who wrote the testimonial has ever used the site and in most cases, the very same person trying to rip you off has written it.
Using Referrals to Find a Legitimate Site
A recommendation by a friend or family member is the only secure way to be guaranteed you will get paid at the end of the day. Always try and do some research on a site if you are not sure about it. If it is a one of those paid survey scams there is a good chance that they will have ripped off a lot of people before you ever found them and most people are quick to let everyone know of paid survey scams.
If you are unlucky and get caught by one of these paid survey scams there is very little chance you will ever get any money out of them. Moreover, you will probably not lucky enough to ever get to know who they really are. Most fraud sites set up behind a proxy server and that is why it is hard to find out information about the real person or company that set up the site and fooled you.
The best and worst part about the internet is that it is not very hard to hide if you know what you are doing .Paid survey scams are used to make a lot of money so the owners will go to great lengths to make sure no one will ever know who they are and where they come from.
